Hey all,
I'm a final year student at UCL. This summer I am hoping to travel to Kenya as a Project Worker with Kenya Education Partnerships (KEP). KEP is a student-based organisation who work in direct partnership with schools in rural Kenya in order to develop their capacity for self-growth. KEP selects students from Oxford, Cambridge, UCL and King's College London to act as Project Workers each year. Project Workers spend 10 weeks living in a village and working together with the school and community to directly invest the money they fundraised into a sustainable development plan for the school.
I am really excited to have been selected this year. My fundraising target is £2,500 - £895 of which will be directly invested in the school - the rest of which will go towards covering costs of flights, visas and a security fund. My fundraising will involve a variety of activities and events. I plan to document all my fundraising efforts and the eventual progress of the investment projects in Kenya as well as my own personal experiences on this blog.
If you would like to find out more about the project please check out the KEP webpage or leave a comment below.
If you fancy donating please follow the directions on my BTMyDonate page. Registered charity number: 1104888.
Asante Sana!!! Thank you!!!
